* An Animal Cries Out For Your Help *

This was a poem that I wrote about an animal who has endured abuse and neglect from their owner….something has got to be done, we wouldn’t stand for this to happen to our children, so why our furry friends?

An Animal Cries Out For Your Help

Savagely beaten and left to die,
while left utterly alone, and completely isolated,

Bleeding severely from the painful open wounds that enrobes her lifeless body,
as she begs and prays for the agony to subside,

Licking endlessly at the wounds sustained from the horrific beatings,
and the gaping wounds that surrounds her every limbs,
subject to the cold elements of the outdoors,
with the possibly of apprehending an infection or even worse,
gang-green,

She shivers from the chills that stream through her lifeless body,
which are the cause of the sheer shock that she is simply left to endure,

Yet, confused by all the inexcusable suffering,
of the being beating and being sadly abandoned to die a slow and painful death,

Also wondering what might have gone so terribly wrong,
for her best friend to leave her helpless, frail body to parish,
as she struggles to stand, to only then continue to topple over,

Please save her from the ruthless abuse of her previous owner,
and please help this poor wee soul,
for she can no longer bear the agony,
nor this unstoppable, yet, grueling pain that consumes her deepest within.

We as society need to make a stand and promote tougher laws to the individuals who are causing such suffering to the magnificent creatures, wild and domesticated!!!! write to your local government and press for these laws tp protect these animals.
