I was eating a fantastic rehydrated meal outside my tent when I noticed the light and clouds develop into perfection. I left my dinner aside to get cold, grabbed my camera/tripod and ran to a good viewing spot. The frame needed a person but everyone was busy eating so I put myself in place and used a remote. Lovely shot, know what you mean about missing your dinner to get the light. Haven’t been up there since the fires certainly looks like a lot got cooked.
Thanks Travis! You should get up there, it’s gorgeous! The fires have left many sun-bleached snow gums (you can see the light hitting them in this photo) plus there’s all the new life in fresh gum growth and wild flowers. Lots of opportunites for dramatic shots here :)
I wouldda sat for you! But then I’d still be there I would never want to leave!!!! Must get up there again I sooooo miss the High Country! Thank you for this awesome shot!!! Chookas! ♥Ü♥
