New films ‘inspired by’ older ones aren’t satisfied with being sequels, prequels or remakes anymore. A new look and new cast requires what’s now called a reboot.
Online in 1996, with the motion picture in 1979, Next Generation in 1987 – now the reboot in 2009..
Lucky your favourite three fingered salute is on hand to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
I’m sure the more avid fans will point out many inaccuracies in this design, so my apologies in advance (I am but an observer) ;)
A reboot of this computer would of course be a verbal command, spoken in a best American-Scottish accent : ‘computerrr….. computerrrr!!!….. where’s the *$(#@#! on/off switch?’

This explains the Vulcan / Romulan split. Vulcan went the Microsoft route, hence the need to evolve the 3 finger shuffle and the cool Romulans must have gone Mac. Both being mistakes cos when the Earth peeps came along with Unix/Linux, the universe became ours… mhwau ha ha haa..
Aah i wondered whether you’d spot this one! :) Hey, i’m not ‘all’ M$, I even installed MySQL the other day!
