The drawing, the photograph and the computer processing let us perceive a deep rooting into the real world. Nature is omnipresent as a theme of course but not only. She is part of philosophical thoughts that give great credit to ancient civilizations and to symbolics. Ethnology is not far and Levis Strauss’ research consolidates this approach.
It is a world of silence which unfolds under our eyes.There is no sign of the human or so slightly that it becomes anecdotal , acting as a foil.
Could it be a kind of sanctification of Nature? The iris tend to prove it ,however the reliquaries and their objects of mortification thwart this analysis and rather takes the artist onto the level of sacredness…Gil Batini
