“Ọṣun (or Oshun) in Yoruba african mythology, is a spirit-goddess (Orisha) who reigns over love, intimacy, beauty, wealth and diplomacy. She is worshipped also in Brazilian Candomblé Ketu, with the name spelled Oxum.
Oshun is beneficient and generous, and very kind. She does, however, have a horrific temper, though it is difficult to anger her. She is associated with the color yellow, metals gold and copper, and anything of beauty; her favorable day of the week is Saturday, and the number she is associated with is 5.
Her symbols are mirrors, jewelry, honey, and golden silks.
She is the Yoruba understanding of the cosmological forces of water, moisture, and attraction. Therefore she is omnipresent and omnipotent.
Oshun is the force of harmony. Harmony we see as beauty, feel as love, and experience as ecstasy.”

Oh, Helene! your words make me feel a bit more relaxed with the results; you know, I´m not a believer, have a great respect for these beliefs, but there´s always this doubt regarding how to better portray these characters without offending anyone. Thanks a lot!

Si, Teresa; no quise entrar en demasiadas precisiones como, por ejemplo, el tema del sincretismo con santos de la Iglesia Católica para no hacer muy extensa la presentación. Pero, sí, aunque no soy devoto de estas deidades, guardo un cariño muy especial por la Caridad del Cobre, mi mamá también era una devota de ella; entre mis aspiraciones está la de hacerle también una imagen en 3D. Si Danilo, te entiendo perfectamente, yo en mi opinion, cada cual tiene el derecho de creer y admirar en lo que mejor se sienta, siempre y cuando no dañe a una tercera persona, me facina el tema espiritual, y me encanta aprender de ellos, tengo un gran respecto por los demas y por sus creencias.
