JUMP: Opportunities for Young and Emerging Artists
JUMP supports the career development of artists aged 18-30, and in the first five years of their professional practice.
Mentored artists receive funding for a creative concept, to be realised through a flexible relationship with their chosen mentor across an annual 10-month mentorship period.
Between mentors’ established networks and the JUMP program’s national reach, mentees also receive direct access to a significant range of professional development resources, showcasing opportunities and industry engagement activities.
As Australia’s newest and largest artist mentoring program, JUMP is serious about championing our nation’s next generation of arts industry leaders, and ensuring that artform, geography and cultural diversity are no barrier to identifying and promoting artistic excellence.
Supported by the Australia Council for the Arts, JUMP is managed nationally by Youth Arts Queensland, and will be delivered in 2010 in collaboration with inaugural state partners Propel Youth Arts WA and Carclew Youth Arts (SA).
For more information about JUMP’s funding vist their website.
