…this is where i lived, for a while, in, and out of, retreat. these are what are called pancake rocks, layers and layers of sedimentary rock, on the western edge of the south island of aotearoa – new zealand. the blowhole area here is about some 30-40ft above water level, with the mist ans spray creating such an amazing spectacle, most of the time. i dropped the gamma on this a point or two, to bring out the colours of the arch…
