If Trees Could Talk

Bob Larson

Prescott, United States

Artist's Description

I bet it would suck if trees could talk. Not just because they would be all, “Hey, buddy, how about pointing that lens on some of this fine bark, I got a whole Bark-A-Palooza going on over here”. I think it would suck if you ended up being planted next to some, “Hey about that reflection, take a look at that. We look a lot alike don’t we. Hey we look like that one over there too, ooohh, that one there too, oh and that one, and the other one right next to it. It’s hot isn’t it, but at least it’s a dry heat. I wonder if it will snow this winter, do you think it will snow again this winter. What’s your take on the whole Dutch Elm disease deal, gotta be happy we’re not Elms huh? What do you do about the bird crap on your branches? Yeah, me too, nothing. Remember that breeze a couple months ago, man, that was good breeze. Boy, it’s only like 8:00am, loooong time to sunset, looong time. Oohh, hey, another tree that looks like us, more me than you, just kidding, it looks like you too, ha ha, I’m such a joker, sometimes I crack myself up. Yes siree, loooong time to sunset.”
