I climbed out of the forest, happy in the knowledge that I’d found some Fall color. It took some doing, lots of climbing, crawling around the forest floor, laying on sticks, logs, rocks, craning the neck to get some unique views, forcing a tripod between trunks of trees to shoot up the sides to get close to the bark and peek at the foliage further up. After getting back in my Jeep, I turned the key, started the engine, looked to my left, turned the key back, stopped the engine, got out, lifted the camera and shot this off the side of the parking area. Took about 3 seconds. I’m pretty sure my neck was giving me the finger behind my back.
