If you’ve uploaded recently and added more than 10 tags, you’ve probably been told your upload failed and had to start over again. I’m not in favor of the 10 tags limit. Here is my take on it from the feedback forum:
“People, you all need to calm down about this! It’s just so easy, we all need to go minimalist! Stop putting so much unnecessary clutter in your art. If you shoot sports, try to get just one random guy on the sideline not really doing anything and preferably not on a team Tag- Guy, Event. If you shoot people, try to trim it down to just one nondescript person against a nondescript wall preferably with no expression, bland clothing and unrecognizable gender features. Tag- Person, Wall. If you paint still life, how about instead of a bowl of fruit we trim it down to just an apple minus the bowl against a nice white background, this will save you a ton on paint! Tag-Apple. You digital composite artists, how bout we loose that whole “composite” part, comic artists, let’s mellow out on the captions, satire, and political statements, and while we’re at it, let’s go ahead and keep it to just one character, no “bubble balloon thoughts” though, let’s not push it. As for me, I’m mainly a landscape photographer so I’ll be trimming mountains, clouds, lakes, trees, sunsets, sunrises, rocks, cliffs, reflections, water, grass, dirt, mud, weeds, reeds, fog, dew, mist, weather, storms, land, forests, ponds, oh I could go on and on and on, but what’s the point? I think I’ve found the solution to my dilemma. I’m tinkering with the idea of a new series where I only go out when there are no distracting clouds or weather, heading to the middle of a gorgeous area filled with mountains and glorious foliage nested up against a beautifully calm lake reflecting the mountains and the flowers while the birds float peacefully on the shining silvery surface, and I’ll point my camera straight up and shoot. Tag-Sky,Blue."
That sums it up for me.

UPDATE: Redbubble now allows more than ten tags again. My rant feels hollow now, but check out my tags!

    What a shame to waste a beautiful stunning image like this with only 10 tags. Yes the ten tag thing does suck Bob, you’re right… Love your “take” on the whole rig-marole! Very funny! Instant fave as it goes! S:)x

    Bob, whilst the title of this photo is completely unfitting, it cracks me up! I’m not wordy with my metadata (tags), so it’s not a dilemma for me yet. Hang in there; you’re not alone! (c;

    P.S. Your photo is lovely (c;

    I agree
    My wife Irene has spent hundreds of hours creating 30 groups for type of image
    and 20 groups for location
    and all will be wrecked by 10 tags
    see my homepage
    and you will understand my enormous dissapointment
    yes it sucks
    thanks for your protest
    cheers
