A few minutes earlier I had packed up the gear to head to any sort of shelter as the rain kicked in much harder than I was expecting. I couldn’t really find any shelter as I was on a small outcropping in the middle of Willow Lake and had decided I would wait the rain out as the sun was starting to set. So I sat in the mud, and sat, and sat, and sat. The rain finally let up a bit, but the mist hung around and I saw one of the more unique sunsets I have ever seen. Worth the wet!
