This is a very small portion of the tributes that have been tied to or set in front of the fence surrounding Fire Station 6, the station of the 19 Prescott Granite Mountain Hotshots who died while fighting the Yarnell wildfire. I live within walking distance of the station and visit the memorial often. My heart breaks and my jaw drops with each visit. The sheer size of the memorial is staggering and it continues to grow everyday with tributes from people and fellow firefighters from all over. The fence itself is no longer visible and the station is now surrounded by what can only be described as love and loss.
