Staking out the Summer Crop
11”x15” watercolor on 140lb. w/c paper depicting blue jay on a spring blossoming apple tree limb. I had 6 bearing apple trees in my front yard during the 70s and 80s and I can tell you from experience that Blue Jays are an apple grower’s worst enemy. They never take a bite from the same apple twice.
This scan leaves something to be desired. As you can see it is pieced together from 2 scans and is much paler than the original. Although photoshop software programs can darken colors they usually distort them when doing so. I will reload this when I get a good photo of it.
