A composition doesn’t have to sound the same each time it’s played… it’s no rule but I think it should in order to survive, to stay creative, to keep in touch…
Think this one is too…. it’s a complete new work, not only the edit, but I’m aware of it’s origin…. I’m in love with the composition but I wanted it to sound just a little more colored…

You are most welcome at my facebook page

Bob is especially interested in ‘the soul’ of the things without one, the expressiveness of the lifeless, the essence of material….. macro photography, ‘things’ in particular.
‘Things’ don’t have the tendency to walk away, to fly, to move, to have a meaning, are always present and do not complex, have patience, don’t nag etc. etc….. As Bob wrote in his profile… “I like it simple!”…

every time i see your macros i feel like i’m melting away… :o)
so beautiful and creative. this one too. great treatment and beautiful colours.
p.s. i’m photographing much too little at the moment… i guess, i have to dust the camera and go hunting for macros & more…

  • that’s a fantastic compliment Benedikt!
so you think you are photographing way to little…. but I can see you are very busy making your art (which I like very much)… it’s about choices… but sometimes it’s hard to chose…

This is brilliant Bob :) beautiful depth, fantastic focus and really nice tones.
Your treatment, as somebody has already mentioned, is sublime. I love the rustic look of the in focus piece, which the faded coating.
This is definitely a favourite! Very well done :)

You always amaze me, Bob. Your work is dreamlike, where some elements are recalled in every possible detail and others are blurred beautifully into the periphery.

  • thank you for the wonderful words…. very much appreciated Briar!
