Lights waiting for a tree... by

For sometime I wanted to try this… Shadow play, reflection, repetition in an almost mathematical way and using light to make it happen…

Canon EOS 60D, Tokina AT-X Pro D 100mm F2.8 Macro

red, lilac, pink, black, dark, light, shadow, repetition, reflection, christmas, x mas, christmas tree, decoration, décor, warm, family, sociable, cosy, rood, lila, roze, zwart, donker, licht, schaduw, herhaling, reflectie, kerstmis, kerstboom, versiering, decoratie, familie, gezellig

You are most welcome at my facebook page

Bob is especially interested in ‘the soul’ of the things without one, the expressiveness of the lifeless, the essence of material….. macro photography, ‘things’ in particular.
‘Things’ don’t have the tendency to walk away, to fly, to move, to have a meaning, are always present and do not complex, have patience, don’t nag etc. etc….. As Bob wrote in his profile… “I like it simple!”…

Very interesting and cool work. Looks like it was fun to make with your camera. It makes me want to tilt my head to the right. :-) It would work great as vertical, as well as the horizontal.

  • thank you very much! let me tell you a secret… I didn’t even think about it to look at it as vertical… but of course it’s a good idea… what do you prefer btw?

The way you have it looks great. It has an abstract feel. I didn’t read the title at first so I liked trying to figure out what it was. Makes me want to pull out my Christmas tree. :-)

  • thanks for the reaction.. and you’ll still have to wait a while ;-)
