The danger of metal Groynes close to the shore – this is at low tide – glad I am not into small sailing boats!!!

Taken on a recent dawn shoot with my fellow RB’er and friend Stuart Chapman at The Warren, Folkestone, England.

Canon 400D, Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM Lens @ 64mm, ISO 100, f16, 15 secs. Hoya ND 400 (9 stop) filter used. Tripod used. Converted to Monochrome in CS5.

    That 9 stop’s an absolute beaut isn’t it Bob? This is a real marvel and i’ll tell you why, I had to check your narrative was the same day we met as I didn’t even see this shot at the time. (Must have been busy up to my knees in water at the time probably)

    Just love the misty effects and minimalist approach to this. Love it

    This is one of my all time favourites – almost makes me wish I had got up at 3.30am with you!!!
