This wonderful lake nestles high in the hills surrounding Dolgellau and Arthog in Gwynnedd, Wales. Taken late afternoon/early evening as the sun had fallen behind the hills and the mist was starting to roll in. The lake is managed by the National Trust.

The fascinating hill on the left is Pared y Cefn-hir and just right of centre is Tyrrau Mawr, or Craig-las, which is a subsidiary summit of Cadair Idris in the Snowdonia National Park.
