Le Kinémax by Bob Culshaw
Le Kinémax, would you believe, is a CINEMA! This incredibly futuristic building houses an IMAX screen and was designed by Denis Laming.

It is a giant crystal and quartz building symbolizing one of the ‘jewels’ of nature. It stands 30 metres high and is angled at 60 degrees. It consists of 3000 ‘plaques-miroirs’ and covers a surface area of 4 250 m². Housing an IMAX screen measuring 600 m² it seats 440 people.
It was constructed in 1987 and is located at Futuroscope, nr Poitiers, France. This image was shot in 2007.

Original JPEG image edited through various layers and blending modes in CS4 to tone down the surrounding area to focus attention on the building.
