The lighting is indeed a treat and the red so subtle in its balance of what he holds. His expression is very interesting – a “mindful” smile? The eyebrows make interpreting it harder…

Superb portrait with spiritual essence. There is a strong sense of peace and balance. A remarkable capture of devotion and faith. The comp, and light makes this image stand out. A wonderful candidate for the religious art group, and a favorite for me

lololol!! Obviously a great receipe!! I’ve got everything except the gothic glow! I’ll add it to my grocery list, and pick some up tomorrow!! lolol!
    Such a powerfully beautiful image!
You achieve such intense depth to your work Bobby! Not sure how you do that, whether it’s in camera with filters, or post processing, or a bit of both. I’m a novice! What do I know,....other than what I like! This one, Asian Warrior, Lines of Time. The darkness of them, AND the extraordinary light combined!! It’s a magical formula, that’s the difference between a wonderful shot, and a truly excellent one!

  • bobbymcleod replied

actually i seldom use camera filters, other than the standard UV to protect the lens (more than anything else). the end result you see here was achieved in photoshop!
