My background is in design but more recently I’ve been focusing on oil painting. All the paintings on this site are oil on canvas. I usually take a few photographs of the scenes first to use as a basis for preliminary sketches. I then use a variety of colours to underpaint the surface of the canvas to create different effects on the layers of paint on top. You can view my online gallery at kelliherart.com
