On my recent cruise, we visited the port of Tortola. We did an excursion there where we took a ferry ride to Virgin Gorda, and then down a pathway to a place called ‘The Baths’. See Wikipedia Article.
The area is so pristine and beautiful that it has been given ‘British Virgin Island National Park’ status.
It is an immensely popular place, especially for photography. I will have a ‘Virgin Gorda – The Baths’ miniseries, so stay tuned for more from this awesome location.
Photo was taken in Virgin Gorda, which is part of Tortola, and the B.V.I.’s.
I used Photoshop to merge about 14 photos into a panorama and then cropped it down to what you see here. (The larger version had more, but also had some distracting people in it).
I then added some saturation, some coloring, and some overall enhancements.

Congratulations on you feature in Canon vs Nikon, Jonathan!
I couldn’t tell this was a panoramic at all from the thumbnail and it’s a really lush one too! I really like the fact it has the effect of being a single massive (stunning) view (rather than many panoramas which can sometimes have a bizarre stretched-collage quality). It’s just so clear! Even though there appears to be a flotilla of large boats on the horizon you’ve really captured how pristine it is out there! :)
Thank you so much for awesome comment, Emsky. It means a lot to me!
The view really was (and is) stunning, even with there being boats around. A couple other locations I went to had NO ONE. Not a soul. I don’t know if I had an panoramas of those places, but I got some aw-mazing shots that I can’t wait to share!
Thank you again for the comment and for featuring my work. I truly do appreciate it!
