I took this with the intention of putting the subject bang in the middle. I think a lot of people avoid putting the subject in the middle of the frame most of the time and often forget that it CAN look good, especially when symmetry is concerned. Also, just because an object is in the centre doesn’t mean that the eye is drawn immediately to it: Here, the eye is drawn upwards, not only at the pylon but at the wires leading to the next one. You can also see the distant pylons in the background, lined up exactly behind the main pylon, giving it a sense of continuity (and unseen continuity behind you). I also liked the way the sky illuminated the pylon, but only in the centre.
