Etching across the human landscape,
The hollow dips, the rising shoulder, the downward curve of the nape,
Charcoal from Paper, a figure escapes,
The emptying of the imagination, marks crisp with fascination,
Grace, tone, smudged in places, leaves the touch of softness and observation,
Of the artist soul’s traces….

In the process of producing these drawings I have come to realise that art has a spiritual dimension that cannot be taught. The whole “how did I DO that” question that pops into your head. Art makes me feel good, its an honour to produce and I feel fortunate for the priviledge.
