Great Image Bob. I remember they used to fly low down the runway and on full thrust go almost virtical upwards leaving your ears ringing and the ground shaking.. _ Ted

I always loved the F4s. To me, that was the “Sound of Freedom”. Especially at night when they ignited their afterburners for departure. Take care.

Agree….I worked at RAF Laarbruch when we had Phantoms there.
A true jet….sound and looks.
