372 - TYNEMOUTH PRIORY CHURCH - DAVE EDWARDS - COLOURED PENCLS - 2012 by

These are the remains of the church at Tynemouth Priory in Tyne and Wear, England. I used coloured pencils.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.

    Super work Dave …

  • Thanks Tom. I got bored with this I have to confess, because there were so many stones to draw :-)

    excellent

  • Thanks Helene. It looks like the actual building, but other than that I feel it says nothing. I hope to get back to doing my usual type of whimsical artwork soon.

  • Thanks – I guess my heart is in whimsical work, but I wanted to do this as the priory isn’t too far from where I live.

this is like waking up after a fuzzy dream, and everything is going back to as it was,,,,,,,,,when i am driving around as i do,,and i see fields with stone walls going up to the sky,,,and they placed along the landscape as if they were a necklace, going up and down,,,i think to myself thats dave,,,,,,,,,,if this does not make sense delete it

  • Of course it makes sense; I value your comments Sean. I am so pleased you still look at my artwork, because a lot of my old friends seem to have left Redbubble.

Very nice Dave; lovely colours and composition. Love the way the structure in the middle stands out against the blue sky, that is framed by the contrasting orange!

  • Thank you Mui-Ling. Happy Christmas.

so they used non-union labor to build this?.or did it formerly reside in southern California/?,nice capture, but why didn,t you use all the stones and bricks?
