An old design I decided to tidy up a bit yesterday. Watercolours and coloured pencils.

I can’t see this as a water color? Beautiful design work, can you imagine a bunch of these make into quilt blocks!! Would make a fantastic quilt with the blocks turned different ways!

  • I’m not sure what you mean by not seeing it as a watercolour. I used tubes of watercolour paint. I went over the centre in coloured pencil but the lighter coloured border is still watercolour. if you mean “a watercolour” in the old-fashioned sense, then of course not, but it is most definitely a design in watercolour nonetheless; I wouldn’t make that up.

    Adesigner for sure……it’s wonderful!!!

  • Thanks, but I wasn’t sure whether to upload this, as it is barely a step up from a doodle really; a bit self-indulgent of me.

Nothing wrong with doodles. I believe they are the sincerest art.

  • Thanks. I suppose doodles are more influenced by our subconscious because we do them when concentrating on something else.
