*MOST DEFINITELY NOT A RECENT DRAWING – MORE LIKE A NOSTALGIA TRIP :-)
When I drew my Spanish guitar (from life) I was sixteen and still at school. It was 1967 and I used pencil.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.
This is a very interesting piece. I like it.
Thanks Chris; I suppose I am showing it to indicate how long I have been interested in art. It has many imperfections, but I like it from a nostalgic viewpoint. Maybe it is the rawness that I like (I often wonder if it is okay to like one’s own drawings).
Nice work Dave …
Thanks Tom. Not sure if you were even out of nappies when I drew this :)
You were talented even then Dave !!!
The year after this drawing, I was in the middle of my A-Level Art studies, but decided I was rubbish at drawing and gave it up. The tutor said I’d regret it … he was right :(
May not be recent but it is excellent detail work and perspective
Thanks – this was a guitar my parents bought me when I was fourteen. I was sixteen when I did this drawing.
