Here is another old one. I have loads of old pictures and I don’t see any harm in uploading them to Redbubble, as no-one has seen them before, so they will be “new” to you :)
This is ink and before anyone asks: YES I used a ruler :)
I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.
lol…. you knew i would ask, didn’t you? This is great! i would have gone blind trying to do this!! You did a fabulous job… how do you keep the ink from running under the ruler? Incredible!
Thanks. In answer to your question … I used Rotring pens. They are about $30 dollars each now, so I don’t buy them often. At the time I was making money from sales of prints, so I could afford them. They are messy to refill from a little plastic bottle of ink though …. or maybe it is I who am messy.
Super work Dave …
You’ve been waiting 23 years to say that, haven’t you Tom :)
Excellent art Dave!
Thank you Swaby.
Op Art lives! – albeit in a drawer from the 80’s.
(When drafting with ink, we used to tape coins to the underside of the straight-edge to guard against ink wicking onto a blob on the paper.)
Another great piece of work Dave !
INTERESTIN WORK !@lIZ
Thanks. It was retro even back in 1988 when I drew this.
