I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.
Super work Dave …
Thanks Tom. Portraiture isn’t my thing, but I have a bash occasionally.
Dave I LOVE this. I suggest you try a few more portraits. This is unique yet it captures Jimi’s likeness. I really like the patterning in the corner too. A brilliant touch!!
Thanks Stephen – that’s really nice of you to say that. I’ve always just accepted that I can’t draw faces, but occasionally I give it a try and even have a little portrait collection here on Redbubble.
great job here! love this!
Looks just like him, Dave!!! very neat that you have kept all your paintings and drawings.. i love seeing your old stuff and your new stuff… you were a great artist then, and you are a great artist now! LOVE IT!
Outstanding work and talent!
wow I love this Dave…the expression is perfect…moody and striking image and a touch of yellow in the corner works wonderfully.
Wow ! just the most striking portrait ! love the skin tone .Superb work my friend.
Good old Jimmy……well done!
I can’t believe how many different art works you’ve done..wow. How often do you draw per week? You have a huge selection of different subject matter. You’re very experienced obviously.
Hi Pat, I tend to work in fits and starts. If I get involved with a family history project (for example) I tend to neglect my artwork … and vice verca of course. Sometimes I will go weeks without drawing and other times I will have five or six drawings on the go at the same time. I haven’t done any art for a month so I feel a spurt of art activity coming on soon :-)
