327 - STRING ART VI - DAVE EDWARDS - COLOURED PENCILS - 2011 by

Linmarie has done an article showing how to do string art

This is the sixth in my series of abstracts inspired by string art. I only used acrylic and coloured pencils for this one.

This is great, I like the contrast of both colours and shapes, and specially shadows on the right side, nicely dimensional :)

  • Thanks Lenka.

This one looks to me like partly unearthed giant fossils! :)

  • Thanks. I agree – the process of using string soaked in acrylic paint does tend to create a fossilised appearance. Linmarie has done an article showing how to do string art. That’s what triggered me off.
