33 years ago I designed a poster for a local Halloween party.
I thought some of you might like to see it.
I used indian ink and a dip-in pen.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.
OOOOh, so scary! What drugs were you on in the seventies….hehe…just kidding Dave. I actually love all the little details and the faces, very cool!
Thanks :) not only have I never tried drugs, I haven’t even been offered any (I mustn’t have looked cool enough). In 1978 I didn’t even drink alcohol and I have NEVER smoked … I guess I am just naturally weird and strange :) I don’t know your age – had you even been born by 1978?
I was 3 :) and already a heavy whiskey drinker…lol
…. but I guess you didn’t try absinthe till you were 4 … obviously a late developer :)
lovely :-))) … good thing you kept it!
Thanks Barbara – It’s so long ago that I forgot I’d actually done a drawing with the background made of dots :)
Great design Dave !I see you had plenty of patience, back then, and it still remains today !
Thanks. I still have patience for art, but it is often lacking in other aspects of my life :) I hate waiting at airports or for buses :)
wow great pen work dav e @!Liz
Especially love the faces in the dots…looks like lace.
Thanks Joanne. Now you mention it, it does look like lace. Recently I was toying with the idea of doing a design using dots. I honestly forgot I’d done that on this picture :)
Love the intricate detail Dave, super work …
Thanks Tom. You are the fifth person to favourite this 33 year old drawing :)
this one is pretty cool too
Thanks ever so much Rebekah :)
what a great poster George..bet they were pleased. Spooky…!
Thanks We’ve known each other a while now, so you can call me George if you like :) A rose by any other name would smell as sweet :)
so sorry Dave! I had just commented on one of George’s paintings…silly me…you can tell old age is creeping in..! ok off now Harold have a nice day :)!…
Thank you Daphne :)
