295 - GREYFRIAR'S BOBBY - DAVE EDWARDS - INK & COLOURED PENCILS - 2010 by

This was inspired by a recent visit to Edinburgh, home of Greyfriar’s Bobby.

A description of Bobby can be found on Tom Gomez’s Bubble, accompanied by a lovely photo Tom took. Incidentally, I didn’t use Tom’s photo for my drawing, although I am sure he wouldn’t have minded if I had.

For the drawing I used Pigma Micron pens, given to me as a gift from a kindly American Redbubbler. I also used coloured pencils from W. H. Smith’s Stationers shop.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.

Excellent expression on this little chap’s face Dave! He looks like he may have had a dram or two of whisky. Those hairy details are a credit to you. Well done!

  • Thanks Margaret … hmmm .. interesting comment – maybe he’s related to Rab C. Nesbit :)
