291 - DESIGN - 05 - DAVE EDWARDS - MICRON & FINELINER PENS - 2010 by

588 viewings as of April 2012.

After doing three black and white drawings I thought it was time to do some colour work, so here is a design that just “happened”. When I put pencil topaper I hadn’t a clue what I was going to draw. I’ve used Micron pens and Fineliner pens and a Sharpie for the large black areas. It’s on A3 paper.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.

Super image Dave, love the colours …

  • Thanks Tom. I’ll be at Edb. from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon – you and I can arrange a meeting sometime if that’s okay with you. In the meantime, can you suggest some arty places of interest for me to see, bearing in mind I have only seen Princes Street and the zoo.

You need to have a look here. It is all in the city centre, so is really easy to find. The National Gallery is right in the middle of Princes Street.

You would need a full week to scratch the surface of these galleries, so you should be in your element.

Sunday morning would be best for me. I can come into town and meet you. BM me with details of where you will be staying and we will take it from there.

    Tom

  • I’ll wait until tomorrow when I know for sure what coach I will be getting to go home on the Sunday. I think the last one will be 12:30, so it’ll have to be mid morning around 10 or so … I’ll Bubblemail you tomorrow.

  • Thanks. With this style I have the excitement of wondering what it is going to be when it’s finished :)

Excellent work, Dave!! Your pen work is so detailed:)

  • I’m playing with my new pens :) Also, I once bought a rather large supply of coloured fineliner pens and I need to use them up.
