In the days when I sold prints of my pen and ink work, this sold 1,000 prints, of which 90 were framed and mounted, or logically speaking, mounted then framed :)
It was the most popular drawing I ever did. For almost twenty years I have mused over whether it sold so well because the view had nostalgic value to the purchasers, or whether any artistic merit entered into the the equation. By uploading it onto Redbubble I may soon have a better idea, because none of you will be familiar with this view and will hopefully judge it on its merit as a drawing.
Chris Baker of Redbubble has sent me this link to another view of the ferry .. many thanks Chris :)
