Another from 1967. I was seventeen. I am now 59 … oh how the years fly by.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.

    Beautiful work and colours Dave!!
Oh so you are not a Libra..
I am only 35 but do agree the years do fly..

  • 35 .. you are still a child Dani :P

I’m not into astrology, but they do say that Pisceans swim both ways … and I can never make my mind up … try asking me if I want a beer or a whisky .. takes ages for me to decide :) I also tend to see both sides of an argument.

very vibrant and colourful and imaginative so your talent was emerging then hey ….I like it! almost looks textured….and it has the appeal of a castle sitting majestically on the top…yep years sure do fly Dave and we grow up quicky… and one’s creativity grows with us….happy birtthday for Thursday!!

  • Thanks Linda. As one of my birthday treats I am off to Glasgow on Friday for two days to see the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

    Excellent, nice layered effect …

  • If you look at the above reply to Linda, you’ll see that I will be passing through your neck of the woods on Friday :) The coach doesn’t stop though but I’ll give you a thought as I pass some of the places you photograph.

Many Happy Returns. This one reminds me of a pop-up booK I had many moons ago, and from point of perspective, some of Klimt’s later work.

‘bout time you signed and dated this one Dave – if it’s dry by now. Your right, time does fly. You know the one about life’s passing being like a toilet roll? You used shadows well even then.

I still think you’ve always been ahead of your time Dave looking at this great work- Its really GOT something. MANY HAPPY RETURNS FOR THURSDAY- Isn’t it funny how time speeds up with every year you add (a most annoying occurance I find)- YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY xx

  • Goody … if I am ahead of my time that means that twenty years after I die, people will start to get excited over my art :)

Hey I might have a Dave Party on Thursday- I still need to catch up on all the music you sent me, and the last few weeks I’ve just seemed to work eat sleep on cycle (so that sounds like a good idea- Party at Mine- do pop in if you get a chance hehe) x

  • I will actually be in Scotland on Friday … Glasgow to be precise .. too far for me to pop over for a cuppa though :)
