I’m quite happy with this one (for once) as I have managed to achieve some fairly rich colours by layering coloured pencils.

I am a retired man who enjoys expressing himself in pencils and paints. I have had two solo exhibitions in my home town and I love Redbubble. I get as much pleasure from viewing the works of other artists as from creating my own.
This has been showing for two hours and not a single comment yet. I remember the good old days when I could post a drawing on Redbubble and get five comments in the first hour. If only we could turn back the clock. Thanks though to my good loyal friends whom I know will comment when they spot this. While I have your attention (?) does anyone know why 99% of the groups are refusing to accept Journal entries? Rather than transfer to another website I am sticking with Redbubble and hoping that one day things will return to normal.
And… you would have two or three features within the first hour too. This is gorgeous Dave. I love this little bee. Wonderful work. As for the journal entries, since mine groups are purely art, the writings don’t fit in with the content of the groups.
Thanks Bunny. It’s a distorted butterfly actually, but I see it does resemble a bee :D
a lovely picture, wonderful,dawnx
Thanks Helene – no-one has asked about the title :D
Thank you Jolante.
As usual Great work Dave
Congratulations! Your work is beautiful!View your feature here and join me in celebrating our love of artAug 2013
Hi DaveI miss the good old days of RB too! I think maybe people have suffered from burnout over the years from the sheer volume of work on here? I have found another site whose members are still giving lots of positive feedback to each other. it’s http://www.paintingsilove.com Maybe you can give it a try? Cheers – Mike
On a rare visit and spotted this – magnificent! What’s Kandozzi? Whatever or whoever, I like it! (How do you get such depth of colour with your pencils?)
Thanks for the compliment. Two of my favourite artists are Paolozzi and Kandinsky – the title is an amalgam of their names. I layer my coloured pencils.
