65 - FLOWERS - DAVE EDWARDS - COLOURED PENCILS - 1996
Another one from twelve years ago. My reason for uploading these old ones is partly to show that coloured pencil work is not a new phase in my art, but a return to something I foolishly gave up all those years ago. This is one of my own personal favourites of my work, but doesn’t seem to appeal to Redbubblers very much :(

Many thanks Bill … sadly, I eventually became disheartened by the lack of enthusiasm for my work and in 1999 I only did two paintings.
For the entirety of 2000 and 2001 I did absolutely no drawings or paintings whatsoever … so I really must have been discouraged. looking back. Even now, Redbubble is my main reason for painting, but I can’t sell anything for legal reasons … even if anyone did want to buy.

Shame, some fine work, would sell….. I know the feeling, I too let my writting and songs slide inbetween 01 – 03 ish…... Found some motivation inbetwen then and finding the Bubble but now feel like a beast

Very lovely, fabulous colors. Never lose heart, or give up. i’ve been on www.zazzle.com, sold quite a few things, but most to only one person, & i’ve been on RB since Nov & only sold 2 items. Plus i have been trying to get 5 books (for children, writings & illustrations) published for at least 20 years, with no success, but i am stubborn (i guess) & keep trying

Thanks. Yours is the nicest compliment this picture has had. I know I drew it, but dare I say I actually like this one and was disappointed it’s only been favourited twice. I might do some more in this style.
