281 - TONY THE TOWN RABBIT - DAVE EDWARDS - COLOURED PENCILS - 2009
I recently did a painting called I’ve Lost My Rabbit (see below), which contains a tiny image of a rabbit. My Redbubble friend AngelArtiste suggested I do a larger version of the rabbit, so here it is … thanks for the idea Angela.

I used coloured pencils by the way and it measures 13” x 9”.

Dave,
I love this piece. Wonderful depth and colour combinations. Great colour in the rabbit. Pulled me right in. You know me: I devour a piece with my eyes.

Alexandra Felgate
He is fabulous!!! I’m really feeling very rabbitty lately, loving painting rabbits, so this is right up my alley!
(Although I felt a little sad this morning, my cat Merlin has been busy catching lots of mice recently, but this morning he moved onto bigger prey, and killed a rabbit)
BLYTHART replied
Peter and Tony (my imaginary bunnies) are very distressed to hear of this and are looking over their little shoulders for Merlin :)
Matthew Scotland
wonderful, like a psychedelic watership down
BLYTHART replied
Funny you should say that … after I completed the rabbit (from a photo of a rabbit) I thought he looked a little like one of the rabbits from the Watership Down cartoon film.

He’s “the only rabbit in the village” (that joke won’t work though if you haven’t seen Little Britain on TV).
