280 - LOST IN A LOST WORLD - DAVE EDWARDS - MIXED MEDIA - 2009

This imaginative picture was drawn during a particularly stressful week and I think my stress shows through. I was sitting trying to think of a title that represented the picture and the title of an old Moody Blues song popped into my mind – “Lost In A Lost World.”

Wonderful work Dave ….the more Ilook the more i discover….love it a lot …..bravo !!!!

  • BLYTHART replied

Thanks. It’s a poor photo of the drawing (I might take a better one when it is day-time) and not the most cheerful of themes, but hey … art covers every emotion.

I can see the figure’s body in there =D

This reminds me of an activity I did in grade 3 where we drew a bunch of random lines on a big piece of paper, coloured each space that the lines enclosed in different colours, and create an “I Spy” game out of them.

  • BLYTHART replied

Thanks – I have added a link to the song too … and a better photo of the drawing.

Stressed maybe, but this work is great. I think you poured a lot of yourself into this, and as Briggite says, the more you look, the more you see!!

very colourful Dave and wonderful shapes…a great abstract…off to bed now will see video in the morn. hope you are making headway with your computer! :-)

  • BLYTHART replied

Thanks Linda – I lost all my desktop files and all my My Documents, which gutted me, as they were photos I can’t take again. It was something connected with the motherboard and the USB ports that caused XP to disappear. A partition was removed … that’s all I know – I am not technically minded I’m afraid.

    Great image Dave, !!!
It could take weeks to study and unravel the story behind !

  • BLYTHART replied

Thanks George. Any story would be from my subconscious, so goodness knows what a shrink would make of it :) It’s partly a “getting back to my roots” kind of picture, as in these two images of mine:

Not sure if these will show up as images in this reply box; they don’t always.

Wow incredibly complex colourful work !!!
Love it…. Can see the stress in the pieces
which to me speak of disconnectedness and
I can sense the struggle abd almost a drowning feeling…
    Well done mate!! :))

  • BLYTHART replied

Thank you Karin …. it was my stress that went into the picture I think.

You can’t mistake Justin Hayward’s voice. Across the nations, we all feel the same pain. Very emotive video, excellent image, and what a complex mind you have! Must have taken ages to do. Well done Dave!
