71 - ST. JOHN THE EAGLE - DAVE EDWARDS - INK - 1983
You can’t get more Celtic than this, as it’s derived from an image in The Book of Kells. For those concerned about copyright, the Book of Kells is 1,200 years old so it is well and truly in the Public domain :)
I did this during my Celtic art craze in the 1980s. I am becoming interested in Celtic Art again, thanks to viewing Lynnette Shelley’s inspiring work, so I am digging out my old Celtic art books again :) I thought I’d upload the old stuff that very few found interesting in those days. This one is Christian Celtic Art and the original version was done by the monks at Kells, Ireland.
