This is the first in a series of three pictures inspired by our trip to Barcelona. It is loosely based upon Barcelona Cathedral. I started by copying in pencil the cathedral in a bendy style and then removed the photo so I wouldn’t be influenced by it any more.

Spot on! I went to Barcelona to see Gaudi’s work and in this picture I tried to give some old buildings the Gaudi treatment.

Guadi is one of my favorite architects. I consider him more of a sculpturer than an architect because of his free flowing amorphic forms and brilliant hues.

Gaudi would be proud of this one. Beautiful colours and I just love the way the tower and the buildings curve and bend. Mozart used to say “architecture is like frozen music!” And I believe him. :))

Many thanks John. I adore Gaudi’s work and spent some time in Parc Guell when we visited Barcelona. I have also been in the cathedal he designed.
