  • BLYTHART replied

Aha … I was still drawing them as recently as 2007 if you look here and if you count birds, this raven was done in 2008. I may even do more pen and inks one day :)

you should do more of this kind of work… i like it.

  • BLYTHART replied

I had 27 drawings printed locally and sold 6,500 prints altogether. After that, I decided to try colour and got hooked :) This was a fairly recent drawing and I have done a few last year.

  • Al Neaimi

    Al Neaimi

and how many did you sell in color? your ink work is stronger to me.

  • BLYTHART replied

Sadly, I couldn’t afford to have any colour ones printed.

Thanks for what you said about my ink work though; I appreciate that.

I’d been doing pen and inks since 1974 and had done over 200, but when I’d done all the local scenes, I got bored of drawing and stopped doing art altogether. I did the scenic pen and inks because people were paying me to do them; I do the colour work for my own pleasure and don’t sell them.
