161 - GUERNICA (WATERCOLOUR & INK)

This is based on Picasso’s fabulous painting of the same name. Famous paintings make great jumping-off points to base a painting on when one can’t think of a subject of one’s own :))

Piccaso could learn a thing or two from you. This has a more 3D effect than usualy which I particularly like. Very strong.

The new improved Guernica…kinda happy and now with colour! I’d love to see you do a remake of a really dark haunting, scarey painting.

    Exceptional, Dave.

I’m only just learning (by looking!) at the esoteric world of abstract work.

I don’t understand some of the Picasso style abstracts. However, I can appreciate your work here, with the depth you’ve conveyed, using the objects in front and behind each other.

There are lots of interesting things to study and discover, in this amazing painting.

The sharp objects, pointing and putting our attention in various directions – and the distorted canine in the centre. stunning work, my friend!

I will be submitting my first ever abstract, in the next week.
