55 - FACES - DAVE EDWARDS - INK - 1982
As I am busy with other things (decorating … garden work … etc.) I am unable to get much painting done, so I thought I’d upload a few old pictures that haven’t been on Redbubble yet … just so you all won’t forget me :)
Take a look at this one and see how long it takes you to spot the two faces.

If you want to find your prize, go to the third toadstool from the left in your garden and look underneath it …

I see some Aubrey Beardsley influence in this one. It’s great. Terrific to see some new pieces Dave – your fans have been eagerly awaiting this.
BLYTHART replied
Although it’s not a straight copy it is VERY Aubrey Beardsley my friend :)) Did I tell you I held his original works in my hands at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 1974 .. a memorable experience. He was my first artistic inspiration and I still have the utmost respect for the man. Even recently visited Brighton to see his house, which I have to say hasn’t been cared for as it should have been :-(
Have you forgiven me yet for thoughtlessly passing on poorly researched mass-emails (which I’d only half-read before forwarding to get rid of them)? I’d like us to stay friends if that’s okay.
BLYTHART replied
By the way, my recent uploadings aren’t new by any means … they were done in the days prior to Paul Compton being born :))

This is clever Dave…very eye-catching!
