Very nice Dave; glad I took a peek at this, because you can’t see the chameleon so well in a small preview. It’s a clever disguise.
catblack
have u ever read wuthering heights?
this guy reminds me of heathcliff, i like it, sort of manga-ish in the face.
like how he merges with the background
BLYTHART replied
Wuthering Heights is one my favourite books ever. I wasn’t thinking of Heathcliffe, but maybe subconsciously he was there :))
cheetaah
Great colors, can’t take my eye away from her, well done.
BLYTHART replied
“her” is a man, from the olden days, but thanks :))

Fantastic…I like the colour scheme you’ve chosen.
cheetaah
lololol sorry for the mistake….... I was laughing for “her” lololol sorry can’t stop laughing…..........
BLYTHART replied
Catblack guessed correctly that it was a guy … but I suppose he/she is almost androgynous in appearance; hard to tell sometimes, even these days, never mind the olden days :))
cheetaah
You know I have the Book of the Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, I love it so much I read it twice…....... last time 3 years ago…..... and I like to read it again….............................your artwork looks like the wood engraing illustrations they have in the book. Also I have the “Jane Eyre” another amazing book.
Love your art Dave
Hugs

BLYTHART replied
I’ve read all the books by Anne, Charlotte and Emily Bronte. I’ve also been to Haworth to look inside the Parsonage where they lived.
catblack
so true there cheetah, i agree
cheetaah
I didn’t know about Anne, and I searched found this book “The Tenant of Wildfell Hall”.
It’s nice & interesting (good feeling) to go back to those days and see how they lived…............
BLYTHART replied
When i was at Scarbrough I saw the grave of Anne Bronte. People still put flowers on it.
Rebekah McLeod

OMG! You have painted the likeness of RedBubble’s Lynette Shelly! She is the one who paints all manner of dragons and such, geckos, chameleons too I think. This is uncanny or intentional. Very nice!!!!
BLYTHART replied
Thanks :) This character is androgynous, while Lynnette is definitely female and much prettier :) It is definitely not intentional, because as you’ll see by the date I did this four years before Redbubble was formed :) Maybe a premonition (only joking). Lynnette is one of my fave artists on Redbubble by the way.
Lynnette Shelley
lol. I would totally borrow his/her clothes though ;)
BLYTHART replied
His/her clothes are from my imagination :)
