This journal entry may start out like a list of disaster – because in some ways it is – but it is also about hope, patterns, abstract art and how I am using them to build joy.

In June I lost my job, in early July my dog died, in late July I had an operation. I did get another job and I like it, for a while it looked like it may all turn out OK but then another disaster struck so …
My boots
I have had a really busy week but when I got a comment some days ago about my boots being chosen to be used for a while as the icon for the group I was really pleased.
I have not been active member long – or an artist – so it really does encourage me.
Anyway while boasting about this I also pointed out on my own blog that you are all doing some cracking shoe art in the group
