Explosion of Birds

Remodernist abstract composition begun by children during a 15 minute painting demonstration I did at the Western Colorado Center for the arts. Kids took turns doing brush strokes over an old blue painting I had kicking around in my studio. As they watched, I started to develop the painting. I talked about my process as I worked. Some adults with the group said that, before the birds, there were dolphins.

    All kids are talented before 6. They just did a few brushstrokes, though. Then, I took it from there, as I was yakking away.

    I hope you have this hanging at home I would think it will look great framed,
