  • Well, in laymans terms – this creature is smaller than a pin dot-not really visible to the human eye. This image was produced by viewing it through an electron microscope [that is my partner Dr. Hargrave’s expertise]. This creature is a diatom Phalacroma rotundatum can be involved with algal ‘blooms’ that can be sometimes harmful seafood or fish – ‘red tide’ sort of things here in the US.
