I ended up using about 18 different tones and shades. The newer images are sharper and show more highlights, so I am able to get ‘inside’ the pores and paint in the tones. I have to magnify them an awful lot, and it can be very tedious, but I take pride in the results. They bowl me over some times they are so amazing.

You have taken photography to a whole new level so amazing and beautiful I love it, it stirs the imagination

  • Thank you for your comments Jeanne. Your photos are the ones that excite my imagination. Love horses. These diatoms are black and white to begin with – so it is like working with a blank canvas. I can do anything I want with them, so I let my imagination and mood take over.
