En-route from Banff to Jasper we pulled off into a campsite and I captured this wonderful view of this Rocky Crag. Tall and imposing it seemed to stand for the area. I was unable to fins a name for this mountain It’s stark beauty and textures were amazing. The Rocky Mountains never fail to produce stunning views.
I am an amateur photographer from Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada.
Love scenery, wildlife and anything that catches my eye as being unique. Have a Canon Rebel XSI with a 100mm – 400mm Lens that allows me to get some wonderful captures!

Is this not Castle Mountain sis?

In any event, I love this, looks so very natural just like you are viewing from the naked eye.
No Sis this is Not Castle mountain it is closer to Jasper. We stopped at a lake and campsite on the left side of the highway and this was on the right side of the highway . I took this form the campground. I think you told me you had camped in there somehow ……… There is a fast running stream and then the lake at a foot of the mountain. Really frustrated that I can’t place it. Thanks for trying to help :>)) Leslie

Beautiful capture Leslie. I am not sure of the peak, but it looks like the ones in the area of Bow Summit and Bow Lake, but on the east side of the highway.
